Planning and designing the right type of structure and transforming the way you use your home is one of our biggest passions.
We founded our company on the belief that we offer the highest standards in the industry. From initial enquiry right through to the finish, we ensure our customers remain content with every aspect of our service. Everything from our level of craftsmanship and communication to keeping on schedule and working without causing any inconvenience is designed to make sure you enjoy a zero-hassle experience with us. If you want a glazed extension with a difference, it’s worth looking in to our range of all-glass conservatories. These constructions are the next stage of conservatory designs.
All-glass conservatories can either look very modern, or rely on some detailing to look more classical. The less framework on show, the more contemporary the look. However, other materials can be utilised – wider columns, panelling – to create a less futuristic effect.
As you can probably guess by their name, all-glass conservatories minimise the normal amount of structural framework to create a completely glazed living space. However, the amount of framework involved is up to you. For support, columns and beams are still important, but their visibility depends on the materials you choose. Each material has its own share of benefits, which we detail below.
PVC – PVC built in an all-glass conservatory template is structurally solid, suits all budgets and can be extremely versatile. PVC doesn’t have to be gleaming white, our range of over 200 RAL colours allows extreme flexibility in terms of the type of hue you have in mind.
Of course, PVC is warp and stretch-resistant, so there is virtually zero maintenance for decades. This allows you to sit back and enjoy your conservatory stress-free, safe in the knowledge that the build is structurally sound in all types of weather and climates.
Wooden – A wooden framework on an all-glass conservatory gives a wonderfully understated, elegant finish. The type of timber we use in our wooden conservatories comes from a range of the sturdiest redwoods and hardwoods. These materials allow a build that not only has the right look but also has a structural build of the highest quality.
Of course, your timber all-glass conservatory can be shaded to whatever colour you wish. Or we can keep to its natural hue. Either way, incorporating timber in to your glazed extension has huge value, not just aesthetically, but on the overall look and feel of your home.
Aluminium – This metal is superb for building all-glass conservatories. Lightweight, tough and extremely durable, this material can be used at a minimum to provide a solid structure to rival a normal build. Like the other options, aluminium can be coloured to suit the overall design of the conservatory. Using aluminium in your all-glass conservatory is the best choice, if you want the wide expanses of glass to do all the talking.
Adding a conservatory is not only an investment but, if done well, a valuable asset. At St Edmunds Windows & Doors, we want to be completely sure that what we build exceeds your expectations.
As part of our peace of mind promise, we also offer:
